Medicine Hat Police looking for two individuals after targeted robbery and firearms-related incident

Medicine Hat Police Services has warrants issued for two individuals after a targeted robbery and firearms-related incident during the early morning hours of Jan. 2, 2026.

In connection with multiple serious Criminal Code offences, including robbery, assault, and firearms-related charges, the MHPS is seeking to locate 33-year-old Brendon Webb and 31-year-old Brooklyn Carriere.

Police say the incident occurred at a private residence in the southeast area of Medicine Hat, and officers responded following reports of an altercation involving several individuals known to one another.

Police add that multiple occupants of the residence were assaulted, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries.

Weapons were used during the incident, and threats were made toward those present, according to the police.

Police reported that as the suspects fled the residence, an officer encountered them in a common area of the building.

During this interaction, it’s reported by the police that a suspect discharged a firearm.

No officers or members of the public were injured, and police seized the firearm.

The MHPS Major Crime Unit has taken on responsibility for the investigation.

Police said that the incident is believed to be targeted, involving individuals who are known to one another.

Anyone with information that could assist with locating Webb or Carriere is asked to contact the police at 403-529-8481 and request to speak to a member of the Criminal Investigation Section.
