Tyson Moss closed the scoring 8:41 into the third period to record his first career Western Hockey League hat-trick as the Medicine Hat Tigers thumped the Swift Current Broncos 10-2.

The Tabbies scored nine goals on their opening 29 shots of the hockey game to take a 9-2 lead into the second intermission.

Liam Ruck and Bryce Pickford each recorded multi-goal games as Pickford took sole possession of the WHL scoring lead with his 24th of the season, making it 5-2 late in the first period.

Veeti Vaisanen, Misha Volotovskii, and Dayton Reschny also added singles for the Tigers while Yaroslav Bryzgalov added four assists and notched his first career WHL fight.

The Broncos’ scoring came back in the first period courtesy of Zach Pantelakis and Noah Kosick.

Jordan Switzer made 21 saves in the win for the Tigers, while Joey Rocha was stuck with the loss for the Broncos after being for allowing four goals on the opening ten shots.

Aiden Eskit would come in to relieve Rocha, but did not fare much better, allowing six goals on 29 shots to conclude the hockey game.

The Tabbies now ride a nine-game winning streak into their final game before the holiday break, Wednesday, December 17th at home against the Brandon Wheat Kings.
