The red-hot Medicine Hat Tigers (20-6-3-2) aim to extend their win streak to nine straight games tonight as they welcome the Swift Current Broncos (8-21-1-0) inside Co-op Place.

Tonight marks the second meeting of the year between the two clubs who faced off back on September 26th in Swift Current, where the Broncos emerged with a 6-3 victory.

The Tigers enter off a thrilling 6-5 overtime win last night against the Moose Jaw Warriors, with the team’s captain, Bryce Pickford, scoring the game-winner 1:38 into overtime.

The goal was Pickford’s 50th in his Western Hockey League career and league-high 22nd of the season.

With the goal, Pickford has now scored four game-winning goals in a row, and five of the team’s last six.

He also leads all WHL’ers in game-winning goals with six.

The Broncos enter tonight riding a ten-game losing streak that extends all the way back to November 14th.

Over their last 21 games, the Broncos hold just a 2-18-1-0 record after starting the year 6-3-0-0.

The Swift Current Broncos last won a road game on October 12th, a 5-4 win in Brandon, as the team rides a 13-game road losing streak into tonight’s matchup against the Tigers.

Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m MST with the pre-game show beginning at 6:30 on WILD 94.5 FM.
