Prairie Rose Public Schools displays Annual Education Results

Dec 10, 2025 | 2:25 PM

The annual education results were reported by Prairie Rose Public Schools Superintendent Reagan Weeks at its board meeting on Dec. 9, 2025.

The report outlined student achievement, learning supports, and division priorities within Alberta’s Assurance Framework.

Trustees noted a significant increase in student enrollment across Prairie Rose, which continues to inform planning and resource decisions.

Highlighted in the report were areas of progress, including student engagement, strong participation rates in provincial assessments, and high school completion rates.

Results from both provincial measures and local data were used to identify strengths and areas for continued focus, guiding instructional priorities and division planning for the year ahead for Prairie Rose.

A presentation was made during the meeting by Principal Simon Moreton, displaying the work of Prairie Mennonite School.

The presentation outlined strong family involvement and student leadership, noting parent-led hot lunches, community service and well-attended events.

Trustees were also shown how the school builds spirit through a house system and supports learning with literacy and hands-on programs, according to Prairie Rose.

Other items discussed in the meeting include the operations and maintenance report, noting more than 3,700 work orders completed this year and major upgrades underway, including roofing, mechanical systems and parking lots.

Updates were provided to the trustees on site work for the future Parkside School in Redcliff and value-scoping in Oyen.

The board also congratulated teacher Angie Angle on receiving the Prime Minister’s Award.
