Medicine Hat Public Library welcomes a folk duo for the Home Routes Concert Series

Nov 26, 2025 | 6:03 PM

Folk musicians Graham Lindsey and Maddy O’Regan take the Library Theatre stage for Medicine Hat Public Library’s free Home Routes Concert Series on Wednesday, at 7 p.m. on Nov. 26.

Home Routes is a Canadian non-profit that arranges volunteer-hosted concerts in homes and small community venues across the country.

The series connects touring folk, blues and world music artists, offering audiences a rare, close-up concert experience.

Lindsey said the audience can expect everything from melodic vocals to high-energy fiddle and guitar tunes, with a banjo also making an appearance.

O’Regan and Lindsey will showcase original music, rooted in familiar folk and Celtic styles.

Lindsey, a multi-instrumentalist and composer, recently released his latest album, Tune Machine, featuring eight original tracks.

O’Regan blends classical training with a love of folk music, bringing a lively presence to intimate venues like the Library Theatre.

Lindsey has long been drawn to small stages, hosting house concerts for nearly a decade before shifting to touring in 2019.

Performing in close-knit settings allows for direct connection with audiences, according to Lindsey.

Lindsey said the personal connections make performing in places like Medicine Hat Public Library especially meaningful, noting that shared stories and conversations help bring people together.

The Home Routes Concert Series will return in February.
