Medicine Hat Tigers return home for tilt with Tri-City Americans

Nov 2, 2025 | 1:19 PM

The Medicine Hat Tigers will aim to get back in the win column this afternoon as they return home from a seven-game road trip to battle the Tri-City Americans.

Both clubs were in action last night.

The Tigers fell 6-1 in Edmonton to conclude a seven-game road trip, while the Americans were in Lethbridge, where they fell 4-3 in overtime.

This afternoon’s tilt marks the Tigers’ return to Co-op Place following the conclusion of a seven-game road trip that saw the club go 3-3-1-0.

The Americans enter 3-1-1-0 over their last five, having been playing some of their best hockey as of late.

The Am’s penalty kill has been their shortcoming this season, operating at 66.7% on the year.

However, the Tri-City kill has been much better over their last three games, going nine for their last ten.

The Medicine Hat Tiger penalty kill, on the other hand, has been busy…too busy.

The club has gone to the kill a staggering 36 times over their last seven games, averaging a little over five kills per game.

In yesterday’s 6-1 defeat, the Tiger kill took the ice nine times, something the team hopes to rectify against a physical Americans squad.

Puck drop from inside Co-op Place is slated for 4:00 p.m. MST with the pregame show getting underway at 3:30 on WILD 94.5 FM.
