Tigers set for matinee tilt against Oil Kings to conclude seven game road swing

Nov 1, 2025 | 10:55 AM

The Medicine Hat Tigers are in Edmonton this afternoon to battle the Oil Kings, with top spot in the Central division up for grabs.

The matchup is the second of eight regular-season meetings between the two rivals, with the Tigers taking the first game back inside Co-op Place, 5-2.

The Tigers enter fresh off a six-game B.C. division road trip that saw the club go 3-2-1-0 while having recorded at least a point in their last four games.

Edmonton, meanwhile, enters having just snapped a four-game losing skid following an 8-6 goalfest against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The Oil Kings are winless in their last three at home, dating back to October 15th.

Edmonton, Alta., native Jordan Switzer will get the start for the Tigers, who will be without second-year defenseman Niilopekka Muhonen today.

Despite the loss of Muhonen, the club will get Jonas Woo back in the lineup after he missed the entirety of the B.C. road trip.

Puck drop from Rogers Place is slated for 2:00 p.m. MST with the pre-game show beginning at 1:45 p.m. on WILD 94.5 FM.
