Medicine Hat Tigers aim to bounce back tonight against the Kelowna Rockets

Oct 25, 2025 | 12:28 PM

The Medicine Hat Tigers do battle with the Kelowna Rockets tonight on their fifth stop of a six-game B.C. division road trip.

The Tigers were in Kamloops last night, where they watched a two-goal third-period lead disappear in the final six minutes, falling 5-4 in overtime to the Blazers, dropping to 1-2-1-0 on the trip.

Kelowna was last in action on Wednesday night in Victoria, where they snapped a five-game losing streak with a 2-1 shootout win.

The Rockets have managed just four goals over their last three games, only two of which have come 5-on-5.

Medicine Hat has been undermanned throughout their B.C. division trip, battling injuries and illness the entire time.

The Tigers have been without their captain, Bryce Pickford, over the last two games, and he will be a game-time decision tonight.

Pickford would be a welcome addition back to the Tiger lineup, leading all Western Hockey League defensemen in goals (7) and tied for fifth in points (11).

First-year Tigers forward Noah Davidson has recorded one goal in each of his last three games, which has been a big boost to a depleted Tigers squad.

Puckdrop from Prospera Place in Kelowna is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. MST, and the pregame show begins at 6:45 p.m. on WILD 94.5 FM.
