Medicine Hat Tigers pay visit to Prince George to battle Cougars

Oct 22, 2025 | 3:01 PM

The Medicine Hat Tigers are poised to take on the Prince George Cougars tonight as the club aims to snap their first two-game losing skid of the year.

The Tigers enter off a 3-1 defeat Sunday evening to the Vancouver Giants, where they mustered just a single goal for the first time all season.

Prince George, meanwhile, enters on a two-game winning streak following a 5-0 victory in Seattle and a 9-3 win in Tri-City.

The Cougars’ special teams have been the best in the Western Hockey League to start the season, leading the league in power-play and penalty-kill percentage.

The B.C. division leaders have recorded at least one power-play goal in every game thus far and went four for four Saturday night in Tri-City.

Their kill has been stellar as well, going 18 for its last 19 attempts and having allowed just three goals against through nine games.

Medicine Hat will aim to end its first losing streak of the season and pick up its first win on its six-game B.C. division road trip.

Puck-drop from the CN Centre in Prince George is slated for 8:00 p.m. MST, and the pre-game show begins at 7:45 p.m. on WILD 94.5 FM.
