Cypress County women dies after motor vehicle collision north of Redcliff

A Cypress County woman has died after a motor vehicle collision north of Redcliff on Thursday.

Redcliff RCMP responded to a two-vehicle-head on collision on Township Road 140 at Range Road 63 in Cypress County on Oct. 16 at about 5:10 p.m.

Initial investigation by Mounties revealed that a Dodge Ram pickup truck was travelling eastbound and a Ford Explorer was travelling westbound when the Explorer lost control and veered into oncoming traffic.

The driver of the Ford Explorer, a 53-year-old female resident of Cypress County, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The male passenger was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
