The Generals would respond just 19 seconds later on the first of two goals by Lincoln Pidsadowski in the period.

The lead was extended by the Generals to 3-1 early in the second, before the Cubs responded with goals from forwards Carson Kraft, Cole Fisher, and Randen Collier.

The Cubs 4-3 lead heading into the third wouldn’t hold up, as the Generals scored a pair of power play to take the win.

Coming out of the weekend, Kyle Woolridge continues to hold his lead on the Heritage Junior Hockey League scoring race, with eight points through four games.

The Cubs 2-2 record puts them in third place in the Gary Wournell South Division, just two point back of both the Cannex Cochrane Generals and Coaldale Copperheads.

The Cubs are back in action on Saturday when they play the Mountview Colts in Didsbury, followed by a game in Sylvan Lake against the Wranglers Sunday afternoon.

The next home game for the Cubs is Sunday, Oct. 12 when the Rocky Rams are in the city.
