Medicine Hat Tigers head to Swift Current for battle with the Broncos

Sep 26, 2025 | 9:30 AM

The Medicine Hat Tigers (1-0) head to the InnovationPlex tonight to take on the Swift Current Broncos (1-0) in a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Both clubs enter having won their home-opener over the Regina Pats last weekend.

For the Broncos, the story of the game was the success of their power play, which went three for four on opening night in a 4-3 win.

Meanwhile, the Tigers saw four different goal scorers tickle the twine in their 5-2 victory over the Pats.

Tigers forward Noah Davidson recorded two points in his WHL debut and will look to continue his success tonight.

Newly minted Tigers Captain Bryce Pickford had three points in his first game donning the “C” and aims to continue that trend against the Broncos.

Last season, the clubs split the four-game regular season series, each winning two games apiece.

In the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, Medicine Hat would best the Broncos in five games.

The Medicine Hat Tigers will be without 19-year-old forward Carter Cunningham, who received a two-game suspension for a cross-checking major he was assessed late in the win over Regina.

Puckdrop from the InnovationPlex is slated for 7:00 p.m. and the pre-game show begins at 6:45 p.m. on WILD 94.5.
