CHAT News Today to stream City of Medicine Hat election forums

CHAT News Today will livestream two municipal election forums in Medicine Hat this week, offering residents a chance to hear directly from the candidates, so you can make an informed decision on Oct. 20.

With a record-breaking number of city council candidates this year, turn to CHAT News Today on Sept. 24 and 26 for livestreams of the municipal election forums, set to take place at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre. The forums are being hosted by the Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce.

The forums feature candidates running for mayor and city council, and according to the Chamber will include candidate introductions, a moderate question and answer period and debate, along with concluding remarks.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the event will conclude at 9 p.m. each night.

There are six candidates running for mayor and 39 candidates running for one of the eight positions as a councillor.
