The Rattlers women’s soccer team split their two games over the weekend.

It started with a 5-1 win Saturday by the Rattlers over the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings.

It took a little bit of time for the scoring to begin in this road game, as the game remained scoreless for 43 minutes before Alexis Ratke and Nicoly Souza opened the scoring for the Rattlers with two goals in the last three minutes of the first half.

Both players would strike again in the second half, and Milah McCarty rounded out the scoring for the Rattlers.

On Sunday the women’s team couldn’t find the back of the net as the Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks earned a 2-0 shutout over the Rattlers.

The game had remained scoreless until 58 minutes in when the Kodiaks scored first.

The Rattlers men’s soccer team had a succesful game on Sunday to remain undefeated on the season.

A 4-2 win by the Rattlers over the Kodiaks puts the men at 3-0 on the season.

The Rattlers opened the scoring just five minutes into the contest with Joao Cintra finding the back of the net.

De’Shaunt Gelinas-Cato, Kylan Wol-Harden, and Tata Mugisha would round out the scoring for the Rattlers.

The next soccer game for both men’s and women’s teams will be Saturday, when they host the Ambrose Lions.
