Sep 9, 2025 | 10:00 AM

Alberta premier Danielle Smith will deliver a keynote address to lead off the 2025 Ag Connections Conference hosted by Cypress County at the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede Grounds on Thursday, Nov. 13.

Ag Connections enters its third year, having grown into Alberta’s largest professional development conference for primary producers, drawing hundreds of attendees from across southern Alberta.

Premier Smith’s keynote will be followed by a question and answer session with the audience, to set the tone for a full day of learning, discussion, and connection.

Cypress County Reeve Dan Hamilton said they are thrilled to welcome premier Smith to Ag Connections 2025.

“Her participation underscores the importance of agriculture in our province and provides producers with a unique opportunity to hear directly from Alberta’s premier,” Hamilton said.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Cultivating Resiliency: Thriving in a Changing Ag Industry.”

The county said it highlights the importance of adaptability and innovation as producers navigate evolving markets, technology, and industry challenges.

The conference will also include breakout sessions and expert panel discussions on emerging trends in cattle and crop production from over 20 speakers.

Jessica Holmes, comedian and mental health advocate, and Shaun Haney, founder of RealAgriculture will also have keynote sessions.

The trade show is set to have more than 50 exhibitors.

Attendees will also have networking opportunities and chances to win door prizes.

Tickets are $75 and include two meals, access to all keynote and breakout sessions, and the exhibitor trade show.

Register is open until it sells out, or Oct. 31 at www.cypresscountybusiness.ca.
