Medicine Hat Tigers start exhibition season in Lethbridge on Tuesday

Sep 2, 2025 | 6:03 PM

The Medicine Hat Tigers kick off the Western Hockey League exhibition season Tuesday in Lethbridge against the Hurricanes.

Game time at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena is at 7 p.m. and can be followed through the WHL game sheet.

The Tigers roster is set to look significantly different then the one that brought home a WHL title last season.

Several players have left for the pro ranks and NCAA, while the Tigers have added an influx of American players that wasn’t seen prior to WHL players being able to retain their NCAA eligibility while playing in the league.

Radio broadcasts on Wild 94.5 will continue when the regular season starts on Sept. 20 with the Tigers home opener against the Regina Pats.

Playing in that contest will be Maddox Schultz, the top pick in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft, who lived in Medicine Hat prior to his families move to the Regina.
