Alberta Next Panel makes stop in Medicine Hat Tuesday

Premier Danielle Smith’s “Alberta Next” panel makes its stop in Medicine Hat Tuesday night.

The panel is asking for input on how to push back against Ottawa, asking pre-set questions from a provincial pension plan to possible constitutional changes.

Smith, who represents the riding of Brooks-Medicine Hat in the Alberta legislature, will be joined by the 15 people she has tapped to join her on the panel.

To attend the event pre-registration is required to obtain a free ticket at albertanextpanel.ca.

The location with be the Cypress Centre at the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede Grounds with the event beginning at 6 p.m.

Doors are set to open at 5 p.m. with arrival be 5:50 p.m. expected.

It is advised to arrive early to guarantee a seat in the main hall.

Once the main hall reaches capacity, attendees will be placed in overflow seating.

Please arrive by 5:50 p.m. at the latest, as any open seats may be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis after that time.

The event program runs from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Government-issued photo ID and proof of Alberta residency will be required at the door and must match the ID on the ticket.

All bags will be visually searched at the door.

No protest or advocacy materials of any kind will be allowed in the event with zero tolerance for disrespectful or disruptive behaviour, including heckling or protesting.

Unauthorized photography or videography will also not be permitted.

The event will be live streamed and video footage will be available online after the event.

Questions are asked to only be about topics related to the mandate of the panel.

This is the sixth stop for the panel with four more to follow throughout September in Lethbridge, Airdrie, Grande Prairie and Calgary.
