Medicine Hat Tigers begin training camp Thursday

The Medicine Hat Tigers will hit the ice at Co-op Place on Thursday as training camp beings

Players at training camp will be spit into four teams that will play in a round robin tournament Thursday-Saturday.

An intrasquad game will be played on Sunday to conclude camp.

All games at Co-op Place will be open to the public.

Thursday, August 28

  • Game 1 is 10 am. to 12:45 p.m with Team Black vs. Team Grey
  • Game 2 is 1 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. with Team Blue vs. Team Orange
  • Game 3 is 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.Team Black vs. Team Orange

Friday, August 29

  • Game 1 is 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with Team Black vs. Team Blue
  • Game 2 is 11 a.m. to 1:15 PM with Team Grey vs. Team Orange
  • Game 3 is 5 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. with Team Grey vs. Team Blue
  • Game 4 is 7:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. with Team Black vs. Team Orange

Saturday, August 30

  • Game 1 is 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. 3rd vs. 4th
  • Game 2 is 2 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. 1st vs. 2nd

Sunday, August 31

  • The Intrasquad games goes from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Tigers preseason action is underway Tuesday, Sept. 2 when they travel to Lethbridge to take on the Hurricanes.

The Tigers first and only preseason home game at Co-op place is Saturday, Sept. 6 against the Hurricanes with a 7 p.m. puck drop.

Tickets for the home game are $20, purchased at the Tigers office or by calling 403-526-2666.

Wild 94.5 game broadcasts won’t start until the regular season begins on September 20 when former Medicine Hat resident Maddox Schultz and the Regina Pats are in the city to take on the Tigers.

Team Blue players who played for the Tigers during the 2024-25 season are forwards Brayden Ryan-MacKay and Misha Volotovskii, along with defenceman Jonas Woo.
