Emergency services respond to vehicle flip in Redcliff

Jul 4, 2025 | 4:20 PM

Emergency services responded to a vehicle that flipped by a Redcliff intersection early on Friday afternoon.

An individual that multiple witnesses said was the driver of the GMC Sierra truck was walking and speaking with fire fighters soon after the incident.

The truck was flipped in a ditch off the intersection of Boundary Road Southeast and Broadway Avenue Northwest. It appeared to be pulling a small trailer.

A tanker transport truck a bylaw officer said was struck by the smaller GMC truck had a damaged wheel.

The officer said the tanker was not pierced in the incident and was not carrying hazardous materials.

A Pattison Media employee told CHAT News he heard screeching brakes and the sound of an impact from inside the Pattison Media Centre.

The Redcliff RCMP, Cypress County fire department and paramedics were on-scene as of 1:45 p.m. on Friday.

The ambulance had left the scene by 2:15 p.m., followed soon after by the tanker.

The smaller GMC truck was being pulled onto a flatbed trailer by 2:45 p.m. for removal from the scene.

No further details were immediately available on Friday.
