The official Canada Day festival has every event listed at MedicineHatCanadaDay.ca.

From drones to food trucks, here’s five things to know about today, June 30.

1. Drone show

11 p.m.

For the first time, Canada Day festivities in Medicine Hat will feature a drone show.

The show gets underway at 11 p.m. tonight at Kin Coulee Park.

Fireworks are still planned, but for the evening of Canada Day.

2. Glow Up the Globe

9 to 11 p.m.

A celebration of culture and togetherness started last year continues for 2025 at Kin Coulee Park.

The Glow Up the Globe dance party will run for two hours tonight and feature artists and various genres of music.

Jessikah Babe and the Hey! What’s That? will get it started at 9 p.m.

A Sudanese performance and Bollywood dance will round out the hour before comedic music and jingle dancers, according to a schedule from the organizers.

The last hour will feature dances from various cultures including Blackfoot, Spanish and K-pop, among others.

3. Taste of Medicine Hat

5 to 11 p.m.

Food trucks will be on site for the duration of tonight’s pre-Canada Day activities at Kin Coulee Park.

The line up includes Afro-Caribbean food, Lolo and Lola, Lara-Authentic Cuisine, Kona Ice of Medicine Hat, Namaste India and several others.

4. Cultural crafts

5 to 7 p.m.

Organizers are encouraging attendees to engage with different cultures through crafts at Kin Coulee Park.

It’s available for all ages and is about creating something meaningful to learn about other cultures.

5. This is only Day 1

June 30

Today is only Day 1 of the Canada Day festivities.

Tuesday will kick off with yoga at 8 a.m. and end with fireworks at 11:05 p.m. — with so much in between.
