Harrison Meneghin made 28 saves en route to his third shutout of these playoffs as the Medicine Hat Tigers blanked the Spokane Chiefs 6-0 in Game 3 of the WHL Finals.

The Tigers scored a pair of goals in each frame and surpassed their combined shot total from games 1 and 2 in the win, outshooting the Chiefs 45-28.

Cayden Lindstrom opened the scoring for the second consecutive game and added an assist on a Hunter St. Martin tally in the opening frame, helping the Tigers get out to a two-goal first-period lead.

Kadon McCann and Liam Ruck each tickled the twine in the middle frame, while Andrew Basha and Bryce Pickford rounded out the scoring for the Tigers in the third.

Pickford has scored seven goals in his last six games, a tremendous feat from the draft-eligible defenseman.

Medicine Hat also won the special teams battle, going 1/3 with the man-advantage and holding the Chiefs’ powerplay to 0/3.

Spokane netminder Dawson Cowan was to begin the third period after allowing four goals on 32 shots.

Carter Esler made his second appearance of the postseason in relief, stopping 11 of 13 shots in the third frame.

All this was done without Four Broncos Memorial Trophy recipient Gavin McKenna, who was ruled out after warmups due to an undisclosed injury.

Medicine Hat improves to 10-2-1 without McKenna in the lineup this season.

The shutout marks just the second time this season that the Chiefs have been held off the scoresheet.

The Tigers now lead the WHL Finals 2-1 with Game 4 going Wednesday night in Spokane.
