Brooks RCMP execute search warrants after drug trafficking investigation

Brooks RCMP, along with the Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, conducted a vehicle stop and executed two search warrants as a result of a drug investigation on Thursday.

Officers conducted the vehicle stop in the area of Sunnylea, which is on the southwest end of Brooks, while two residences were searched on Maple Drive and Greenbrook Road.

A significant quantity of illicit drugs were found in all three locations.

As a result of the searches, Brooks RCMP seized approximately 183 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $18,350, 55 grams of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $3,300, and 700 tablets of dilaudid with an estimated street value $14,000
