Redcliff’s Ross representing Canada at 2025 FISU Winter World University Games

Goaltender Kaitlyn Ross of Redcliff is representing Canada in women’s hockey at the 2025 FISU Winter World University Games in Turin, Italy.

Ross is in her sixth season with the Mount Royal University Cougars in Calgary and was one of three goaltenders named to the roster in December.

The women’s hockey competition at the games began on Saturday, Jan. 11 and will run until Monday, Jan. 20 with the Gold medal game.

Team Canada is undefeated through two games.

Ross had a seven save shutout in a 16-0 win opening win over the Chinese Taipei on Saturday.

Ross wasn’t in net for the game on Monday, but Team Canada had another convincing victory over Great Britain 14-0.

Canada outshot their opponent 89-2.
