RCMP ask for public’s help to identify suspects who robbed Bow Island Hardware Store

Oct 2, 2024 | 6:01 PM

Bow Island RCMP has asked for the public’s help to identify a pair of suspects that used a forklift to steal a safe from the Bow Island Hardware Store.

An investigation revealed two male suspects entered the building through the rear door and, along with the safe, stole a spool of wire and several Milwaukee tools.

They both fled the store in a light-coloured 1998 to 2004 Dodge Intrepid, police said in a news release on Wednesday.

Police responded to the break-and-enter call at 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 23.

The first suspect is described as male with a light complexion, has a slim build and wore a white hoodie with a unique design on the back and a mask.

The second suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, has a heavy build and wore a black Puma hoodie, a headlamp and a mask. The mask came down at one point to reveal a beard, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident are asked to call Bow Island RCMP at 403-545-2100.

They can also contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, online at P3Tips.com or by using the “P3 Tips” app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
