The summer may be over, but there’s still lots going on.

Here is what’s on during the weekend of Aug. 16-18 in Medicine Hat and area:

🐅 Medicine Hat Tigers exhibition matchup

The Medicine Hat Tigers will continue its soft launch of the 2024-25 season this weekend with an exhibition match Saturday night.

After losing to the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-1, the Tigers will host the Calgary Hitmen at Co-op Place starting at 7 p.m.

🏎 Rev for a good cause

The Medicine Hat Vintage Vehicle Club is revving engines for a good cause on Sunday.

It’s hosting its annual Fun Poker Ride. The event is open to the public with proceeds going to HALO Air Ambulance.

🎉 Silver Buckle outside parties

Medicine Hat’s Silver Buckle Sports Bar is hosting a party lot outside for what they promise is two nights of loud, live fun.

The party gets underway at 6 p.m. on Friday and will run Saturday as well.

Friday will feature Vanity Trip and Snakes and the Riot will perform Saturday.

🎉 Towne Square block party

The City of Medicine Hat’s Towne Square block parties will wrap up for 2024 this weekend.

Saturday’s edition of the block party will celebrate teens and youth.

The event runs from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. downtown.

🤠 Little rodeo

The Dunmore Equestrian Society is holding the Dunmore Little Britches Rodeo over two days this weekend.

That gets underway on Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. at the Dunmore rodeo grounds.

Food trucks will be on-site and there will be a beer garden.

🚶‍♀️ Walk to cure

The JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at Kin Couleee Bandshell takes place Sunday.

Registration is at 10 a.m. and opening ceremonies get underway at 11 a.m.
