Alberta issues fire ban for the entire forest protection area
Jul 10, 2024 | 4:09 PM
The Alberta government is implementing a province-wide fire ban for its forest protection areas.

This is being done due to the ongoing heatwave the majority of the province is experiencing.
The Alberta government says that since July 1, 173 new wildfires have started.
Medicine Hat does not fall within the protection areas where the ban is in effect.
