Heat records set across Alberta Monday

New heat records were set in 14 communities across Alberta on Monday.

Wainwright in east-central Alberta got the hottest at 32.7 C, according to Environment Canada.

The Grande Prairie area broke its record that had been standing for the last 93 years as it reached a maximum of 32.5 C.

In southern Alberta, records were set in Banff, Crowsnest Pass, and Drumheller.
