Heat warning issued for Medicine Hat, hot temperatures expected for the week

A heat warning was issued for Medicine Hat and area on Sunday, with extremely hot temperatures expected to persist this week and into next weekend.

Extremely hot temperatures are expected this week, with daytime highs ranging from 32 to 36 degrees Celsius and overnight lows of 16 degrees Celsius or warmer, Environment Canada said in the warning.

Monitor for symptoms of heat stroke or heat exhaustion, such as high body temperature, lack of sweat, confusion, fainting, and unconsciousness.
