This includes locations in Medicine Hat, Lethbridge and across Alberta.

An employee, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told CHAT News this was the first time they’ve seen an operational issue impact so many stores.

The employee said London Drugs is working to resolve the issue.

Pharmacists are still working with customers to fill urgent prescriptions and advised the community to call the store to make arrangements.

The pharmaceutical chain closed all of its 79 stories as a precautionary measure over a cybersecurity measure, a spokesperson for the chain told media outlets later on Sunday.

It’s unclear as of Sunday evening when the stores will reopen.
