Cypress View Vet Clinic teams up with SPCA to get shelter pets adopted

Usually the animals hanging around a veterinary clinic aren’t ones you can take home with you, no matter how bad you want to.

On Saturday that will change.

The Cypress View Veterinary Clinic is hosting an event with the SPCA to bring adoptable animals into the clinic.

Hatters can attend, receive free Starbucks coffee and then walk around to visit some of the animals.

They can also see the inside of a vet clinic, including a surgery suite, dental suite and rehab facility.

Brittany Gooden with Cypress View said there will be cats, dogs, bunnies and guinea pigs at the event.

“We’re using this opportunity for just anyone to be able to come and hang out for the day. I mean, who doesn’t doesn’t love coming just to be able to pet some puppies and kitties?” asked Gooden.

Gooden said the event will be a success even if it just one animal is adopted.

The event runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Cypress View Veterinary Clinic.
