Cypress County luncheon aims to ‘support business retention’

The Cypress County Connections Luncheon is a networking opportunity for businesses, organizations and entrepreneurs to interact over lunch.

The third bi-annual event returns to Cypress County council chambers in Dunmore on Friday, April 26 from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Conversation starters will be in place to help spark meaningful discussions and help build connections.

Beth Cash, economic development officer for Cypress County said it’s a great way to meet businesses you might not know about, or to even talk with some owners who may have similar issues.

“The reason that we’ve been putting on these events through the Economic Development Office is to support business retention in Cypress County,” Cash said.

“That’s really important because the businesses that we have make up our economy. We want to make sure that we support them,” she added.

“This event is one of the little ways that we can support those businesses and encourage collaboration, encourage them to network and be able to support each other.”

The luncheon is free for Cypress County rate payers, with a $15 fee for those outside the county.

The registration deadline is Monday, April 22 at noon which can be completed on the Cypress County website.
