School bus with numerous students rolls over north of Calgary

DIDSBURY, Alta. — RCMP in central Alberta say an officer came across a school bus rollover north of the town of Didsbury, and there were numerous students inside.

RCMP say 9 students, 2 teachers, and the driver of the bus at the time of the collision.  5 were transported to hospital via ground ambulance suffering from a range of injuries, some considered serious, but not-life threatening.

Road conditions at the time are believed to be the cause of the collision, however, it is still under investigation.

RCMP continue to remain on scene investigating

Earlier, RCMP reported at least a dozen collisions on the Queen Elizabeth Two highway in a section between Old and Carstairs.  Mounties were advising people to avoid the area.
