Dawgs bite Mavericks, win Game 1 of WCBL final

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Mavericks will have to win their final two games of the year to win their first Western Canadian Baseball League title since 2018.

The Okotoks Dawgs shut out the Mavericks 8-0 in the first game of the WCBL final. The Dawgs scored one in the first inning and kept piling on after that.

The series shifts to Athletic Park for game two on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.
