Severe thunderstorm watches for southeastern Alberta

Area residents could experience another storm today. Severe thunderstorm watches are in effect for southeastern Alberta.

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued watches for an area stretching from Hwy 2 south of Calgary east to the Saskatchewan boundary.

The weather service says the potential thunderstorms may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain and the development of brief funnel clouds.
