Road opened again near midnight

Township road 120 closed for several hours due to single vehicle collision

UPDATE: Redcliff RCMP say the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle crashed into a railway crossing arm. They were taken to hospital in what was believed to be serious non-life-threatening condition and it is reported they are now in stable condition.

The investigation is continuing and no further updates are anticipated

CYPRESS COUNTY, AB — Traffic is flowing again at an intersection south of Medicine Hat, after a collision last night.

Redcliff RCMP responded to what they termed a serious single vehicle collision at the railway crossing on Township Road 120, near Range Road 60 in Cypress County early last evening.

Mounties say that the collision did not involve a train.

The scene was cleared and the road was re-opened around midnight.

No further details have been released.
