MEDICINE HAT, AB – It’s a microgrant but it can make a massive impact.

Two months ago the City of Medicine Hat launched a community microgrant program to encourage Hatters to organize activities and events that strengthen bonds in their community and neighbourhood.

Kelli Ireland, corporate communications specialist with the city, joined Lisa Parent on CHAT News at Noon to talk about the two streams of microgrants, some of the events that have already been hosted by mircogrant recipients, how you can apply for one of your own and what the microgrants have meant to the community.
