Jun 7, 2023 | 10:39 AM

WALSH, AB — An arrest warrant remains in place for the operator of a gas station in Walsh, Alta.

Anwar Kamaran was charged with uttering threats against a person and for failure to comply with a probation order following an incident in August of last year.

He was on probation at the time after he was sentenced to 240 days in jail for assaulting the operator of a rival gas station in Walsh in August 2020.

Kamaran was scheduled to stand trial on his most recent charges on June 5.

However he dismissed his legal counsel near the end of March and he was ordered to appear in court on May 16 with his new counsel.

Kamaran did not show up for that court date, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
