Walsh gas station operator facing new charges

WALSH, AB — The operator of a gas station in Walsh is in trouble with the law again.

Anwar Kamaran is accused of two counts of uttering threats against a person, and one charge of failure to comply with a probation order.

The matter is scheduled to return to Medicine Hat Provincial Court on Sept. 15.

The incidents that led to the charges happened in Walsh on Aug. 3, but are unrelated to his previous convictions.

He was placed on two years probation after he was sentenced for assaulting the operator of a rival gas station in the hamlet that happened in August of 2020.
