MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Special Olympics Canada Summer Games won’t be in Medicine Hat for another three years, but you can show your support now.

One of the early fundraising initiatives is Toonies 4 the Games. It will see students from kindergarten to Grade 12 in southeastern Alberta donate to help make a successful event in Medicine Hat.

Ken Sauer vice chair, Special Olympics Canada Summer Games, Medicine Hat 2026, joined Dan Reynish on CHAT News at Noon to talk about Toonies 4 the Games, the money raised already for the Games and what the event will mean to the community.
