MEDICINE HAT, AB – The YMCA of Medicine Hat is launching a new program to help teens and young adults manage stress and anxiety,

The program, called Y Mind, introduces young people to evidence-based tools while connecting them with peers and experienced professionals over the course of seven weeks.

“Youth are experiencing high levels of mental health and addiction issues,” says Victoria Potter, director of community programs at the YMCA of Medicine Hat. “This program empowers youth to develop the skills needed to respond to anxiety and improve their wellbeing. The Y is always working to fill gaps in our community, and this latest program is one way we are following through on that commitment.”
