MEDICINE HAT, AB – Mayor Linnsie Clark has been a big booster of the Strong Towns Community Action Lab, and the City of Medicine Hat is one of only four communities chosen to take part in the inaugural edition.
It’s billed as a two-year project designed to introduce the Strong Towns approach ideas to the community, shift the conversation, and kickstart the implementation of a Strong Towns approach.
Clark and Shawn Champagne, a senior planner with the City of Medicine Hat, joined Dan Reynish on CHAT News at Noon to talk about, the fiscally sustainable urban planning practices, Strong Towns espouses, the first information and engagement session on Tuesday evening and Clark’s goal for Medicine Hat’s population to reach 110,000 people in 20 years.
