Deborah Belyea ordered to trial for death of husband

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Deborah Belyea has been ordered to stand trial in the death of her husband, former Cypress County councillor Alf Belyea.
The Suffield woman is charged with second-degree murder causing an indignity to a human body in the death of her husband in October 2021.
A preliminary trial ended last week and the matter will return to court for arraignment on Feb. 10.
Deborah Belyea was charged on Oct. 16, 2021, one day after the remains of her husband Alf were discovered. He had been reported missing on Oct. 11.
