SAHA in quarter-finals at Circle K Classic

It’s do-or-die time for the South Alberta Hockey Academy at the Circle K Classic in Calgary.

The defending tournament champions will face off against Yale Hockey Academy in quarter-final action today at 6:15 p.m.

SAHA went unbeaten in round-robin action, but the 3-0 record didn’t come without its tense moments.

Trailing 6-3 going into the third period of their final game on Thursday, Kade Guell and Gavin McKenna each scored twice to put SAHA up 7-6 late. The St. Louis Blues tied it with 15 seconds to go.

Guell completed his trick on the powerplay fewer than eight minutes into overtime to send SAHA into the elimination stage of the tournament.
