MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat College Rattlers have another provincial championship banner to hang.

A season-long battle between the Rattlers women’s cross-country team and their St. Mary’s Lightning counterparts came down to a tiebreaker at the 2022 ACAC Cross Country Running Championships in Edmonton. The two teams tied at 47 points apiece but the Rattlers took the title based on a better position by their team’s final scoring runner.

It’s the second women’s cross-country title for the Rattlers, this one coming more than four decades after the first in 1981.

Becky Ross led the team individually, placing fourth in a time 24:13.
