VIDEO: Candidates going hard on the Brooks-Medicine Hat campaign trail

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Provincial politics took over Medicine Hat this week as the Brooks-Medicine Hat byelection campaign reached the halfway point.

UCP candidate Danielle Smith spent two days in our city, meeting supporters at her campaign office and events at the Root Cellar Food & Wellness Hub and Medicine Hat College. She has plans for rallies in Brooks and Medicine Hat this weekend.

NDP Leader Rachel Notley came to support candidate Gwendoline Dirk and visited the Root Cellar and party supporters.

Meanwhile, the Alberta Party’s Barry Morishita continued to knock on doors and held a meet and greet on Thursday.

Medicine Hat College political scientist Jim Groom spoke with CHAT News about the campaign so far and what to expect before voting day on Nov. 8.

There are three candidates’ forums set for the campaign’s final week.
