Medicine Hat’s water bottle fill stations pilot project under review

Oct 19, 2022 | 2:38 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – With the warm weather coming to an end, so has Medicine Hat’s water bottle fill stations pilot project.

The program was implemented to provide drinking water where access was limited in the city. The water provided to the public was the same water that is distributed to businesses and households and does undergo the same testing.

Whether this project has been beneficial will only be determined once the city conducts meter readings, gets community feedback and does a cost-benefit analysis.

These are the factors that will determine whether the program continues next year.

Hatters are encouraged to provide their feedback regarding the water bottle fill stations, at shapeyourcity.medicinehat.ca. Each response will be kept anonymous.
