City launches request for proposals for podcast host

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The City of Medicine Hat is taking the next step in its plan to launch a podcast, launching a request for proposals to find a host.
Called Public Matters, the podcast will engage the mayor, city council and administration in informal discussions on matters of city interest.
The city says the podcast will support communication efforts by providing another avenue for residents to become more informed about city council perspectives, programs, and initiatives.
Eight applications were received through an expression of interest launched in July. The process is now moving to the request for proposals stage and interested candidates can still apply.
