Lethbridge man charged with making harassing calls to Medicine Hat businesses

Oct 6, 2022 | 11:54 AM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A Lethbridge man is facing criminal harassment charges related to calls made to several businesses in Medicine Hat.

Police say they’ve received multiple complaints over the past couple of months from staff about harassing and indecent phone calls. These calls were repeated and were lewd in content.

Medicine Hat Police Services says in many cases the repeated calls disrupted normal business operations.

Jacob Jacobson, 31, was arrested yesterday and charged with six counts each of criminal harassment and making indecent telephone calls

He was released and is scheduled to be back in court on Oct. 13.

Police believe there may be other victims in the community who have not reported their concerns and ask any business that has received these types of calls to call 403-529-8420 and speak with an officer.
