Boil water advisory lifted for Town of Bow Island

Sep 13, 2022 | 5:12 AM

BOW ISLAND, AB – Residents of Bow Island are no longer required to boil their water before use.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) says the boil water advisory that was issued on Sept. 6, has been lifted as of Sept. 12.

“All Bow Island residents and businesses can return to normal water consumption practices; boiling is no longer required,” reads a media advisory from AHS.

At the time that the boil water advisory was issued, officials said there had been a “significant” water line break in the Town of Bow Island, which also caused water quality issues in surrounding communities such as Grassy Lake.
