Update : Wind warning ended for Medicine Hat and area

MEDICINE HAT — Winter roared back into south eastern Alberta overnight, with temperatures dropping 12 degrees in two hours, and strong northwesterly winds combining with falling snow to reduce visibility in open areas and cause drifting.

A wind warning has been cancelled..

The storm is now moving east and winter storm warnings are in place across all of southern Saskatchewan.

5-1-1 Alberta reports highways in our area are bare and dry with blowing snow and reduced visibility.

Meanwhile, Environment Canada has posted snowfall warnings along the southwestern foothills region of Alberta, from Waterton Lakes National Park up to K Country and Canmore and east to High River and Okotoks.chat
